Something Blue

If you are a Bride and are looking for something blue, consider a twist on the tradition and go with a destination wedding at Lake Tahoe. The water is incredibly blue and will make a beautiful backdrop for your outdoor nuptials. Here are some benefits to choosing Lake Tahoe to tie the knot.

Chapels and Venues Galore

There are plenty locations to get married at in Tahoe. Elopements are popular but big venues like Edgewood Tahoe is beautiful. Located right on the water, Edgewood has outdoor and indoor space, a spa and golf course on site and plenty of rooms. A fellow caterer friend also informed me that Edgewood has hosted the American Century Championship for over 30 years.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Bistro and the Bloody Mary and a simple dish like pancakes were incredible. I could only imagine what their plated dinner tastes like.

Plenty of Activities to Offer Guests

Edgewood is also close to the casinos, the new Tahoe Blue Event Center and the ski slopes. Your guests will be more inclined to attend as there is plenty to do during their stay. Harrah’s and Harvey’s have entertainment, clubs and excellent dining locations.

Club Opal at Bally’s

A great location for a bachelorette party dinner is Lisa Vanderpump’s WOLF. The decor is impressive with grand chandeliers that even rotate, high tops and large booths. Order yourself their signature Pumptini and Goat Cheese Balls.

WOLF

Regardless of the season, attendees can get out on the water or hit the slopes. Ride the gondola up to the observation deck during the summer to get an incredible view of the second deepest lake in the United States. Or jump on the Spirit of Tahoe for a boat ride to Emerald Bay.

Easily Accessible

Lake Tahoe is two hours from Sacramento and 42 minutes from the Reno airport. There are shuttle from Reno and transit busses and more. Group public transportation may also be arranged.
