A Night of Community, Small Business Love, and Tacos

November 8th’s Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce Light Parade was full of festive energy, but one personal highlight stole the show: debuting my new Tacos El Compa CV swag. I’ve always been a fan of great branded merch and promotional items — but what I appreciate even more is supporting friends and small businesses that genuinely support me in return.

In fact, while I was still writing this post, Tacos El Compa immediately re-shared my Reel on Instagram (@werehungrytoo) from last weekend’s visit. Their support and responsiveness never skip a beat.

Gabe, the owner, has been an incredible friend and advocate for years, and I couldn’t be prouder to wear this hat, enjoy every taco, and hype up his business every chance I get. If you haven’t visited yet, here’s just a glimpse of what makes them stand out:

  • Delicious food made with care and consistency
  • Catering available for events of any size
  • Drive-thru access for quick and easy pickup
  • Fresh, clean, fully stocked salsa bar
  • Active community involvement and participation in local events and fundraisers

Businesses like theirs are the heartbeat of our community, and supporting them is both meaningful and delicious.
