Support Small, Empower Community: Why One Busy Bee Enterprises LLC Deserves Your Nomination

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. They create connection, fuel local economies, and often give back far more than they receive. Today, I am asking for your support in nominating One Busy Bee Enterprises LLC for a grant opportunity from Intuit and Mailchimp.

You can nominate up to five small businesses or 501(c)(3) organizations that give back to their communities through a quick and simple form. The deadline to submit is May 15, 2026.

Why Nominate One Busy Bee Enterprises LLC?

Through my brands, @onebusybeeent and @b.manzano.events, I have built experiences centered around connection, community, and collaboration.

#WomenWednesday: More Than Just Networking

My #WomenWednesday events were created to bring women together in meaningful ways. These gatherings have:

Fundraised for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s – San Francisco (where I now serve as a Committee Chair), created spaces for women to network and build genuine business relationships, promoted and supported local events and entrepreneurs, encouraged shopping small and local, highlighted small businesses not just at home, but during my travels as well.

What began as simple meetups has evolved into a community-driven platform that supports causes, amplifies women in business, and strengthens local ecosystems.

Expanding Impact Through PR and Community Engagement

In addition to running my own events, I serve as PR Manager (on a contractor basis) for: Osorio Training Center & Beyond the Ring, Inc.

Working with these organizations has been transformative. Their communities have breathed life into my days and shifted my focus from navigating building permits to helping elevate athletes, youth, and families through sport and mentorship.

The energy, resilience, and drive within these communities deserve amplification. Strategic marketing, event promotion, and professional development are key to helping them grow.

How the Grant Would Be Used

If awarded, the grant funding would support:

Producing more #WomenWednesday events to continue empowering and connecting women, attending sporting and event marketing conferences and seminars to gain industry insight to further grow Osorio Training Center and Beyond the Ring, Inc. and expanding community-centered programming and outreach

This is not just about business growth. It is about reinvesting in communities that continue to show up for one another.
