Thank you to everyone who ordered online, came out to Panera Bread in Hayward, stopped by our table, shared a conversation, or simply helped spread the word about Beyond the Ring. Fundraisers are about more than dollars raised — they are about connection, visibility, and community. And we felt all of that.
We tabled inside the dining room not just to greet our supporters, but to introduce who we are, who we serve, and what our goals are for this year.
Tiffany stopped for stickers and wanted to pass our information along to a friend with a 12-year-old.
Mike, a loyal Panera customer, learned about what we do for the first time.
Ricky, the manager, shared that he already knew about Osorio Training Center — he’s visited the gym himself and described it as professional and well done. He said every time he drives by, it looks like everyone is having a good time. That meant a lot.
A woman drove all the way from Piedmont to get her fix and left knowing Beyond the Ring is available in this community.
A teacher and volleyball coach learned about our women’s classes and wished us the best in reaching even more youth.
Neighbors and friends stopped by. Those who couldn’t attend let us know they’ll be making online donations.
And a special thank you to our board member for showing up — not just in an advisory role, but in person — and for bringing his lovely wife. That kind of leadership and presence matters.
These are the conversations we would not have had if we didn’t step out into the community. This is why we show up.
