As an Event Planner, I’m always paying attention to the details that make an event memorable — from talent and flow to audience engagement and overall experience. Recently, I had the chance to attend an event hosted by The Grass is Greener Where You Water It, and it delivered on all fronts.

It was my first time seeing BLISS (IG: @isthatbliss) perform live, and I was genuinely impressed. From the moment he took the stage, his presence commanded attention. He connected naturally with the crowd, brought great energy, and most importantly, his lyrics resonated. It’s always refreshing to see an artist who not only performs well but also delivers meaningful content audiences can truly get behind.

Events like these are a reminder of how important it is to support local artists and lyricists and vendors. When we show up, we help create opportunities for talent to grow and for communities to thrive.
The turnout for the evening was also a testament to the strong support within the Filipino American community, with an engaged crowd and a lineup of great vendors that added to the overall experience. The MC kept the energy flowing, and the atmosphere felt welcoming, collaborative, and vibrant — exactly what you hope for when planning a successful community event.
And let’s not forget the food. Birdhaus delivered standout bites that kept attendees fueled throughout the evening. Great food is always a bonus, but when it’s this good, it becomes part of the event’s highlight.
From strong performances to thoughtful event planning and community support, this was a great example of what happens when the right elements come together. I’m already looking forward to the next performance from BLISS — and to seeing how this event series continues to grow.
Because at the end of the day, the grass really is greener where you water it.
